The piece is transcribed for one Xylophone and one Marimba and is based on Giga de Corelli by the spanish Baroque composer and arranger Santiago de Murcia (1682-1732). De Murcia adapted many Baroque pieces at the time for guitar and based his Giga de Corelli on one of the Twelve Sonatas for violin and basso continuo; Sonata no. 3 - V. Allegro.
