Joel Collier

Dr. Joel Collier is a composer, conductor, performer, and educator. He has spent most of his life in and around brass bands, both in The Salvation Army, and in community and contest bands. His works have been performed and recorded by bands in North America, Europe, and Australia – most notably by the New York Staff Band and the International Staff Band. He has received several awards for his compositions and arrangements, including winning the 2019 New York Staff Band Composer Contest.

Dr. Collier travels regularly as a guest clinician and adjudicator, as well as a euphonium soloist. He is currently the Divisional Music Director for The Salvation Army Kentucky-Tennessee Division, where he serves with his wife, Alicia.
