Originally written for the Elgin Symphony Orchestra, this stunning setting of the favourite carol has now been arranged for cornet or trumpet soloist and was recorded by James Fountain on the album 'A Joyful Noel - The Orchestral Music of Andrew Wainwright', also available from this website. The arrangement features ethereal shimmering harmony, depicting the wintry scenes that the carol describes.
