David Robb

David Robb is a composer/arranger, conductor and teacher living in the Scottish Borders. He studied composition at Surrey University, where he was tutored by Derek Bourgeois, and also studied trumpet at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

After graduating, David became a Brass Instrumental Instructor for East Lothian Council; a role which he continues to enjoy with over 30 years of service.

David has played cornet in all of the top Scottish brass bands and trumpet in various orchestras.
As a conductor, he has been musical director and bandmaster of various brass bands in the Central Scotland and Scottish Borders areas. He is also tutor/director of various youth and junior bands. David has received commissions to compose and arrange music for bands at all levels.
