The delightful work for string orchestra is a celebration of life. The opening section is in a minor key and is characterised by a slow, somber melody. The music reflects on the challenges and hardships that we all face in life. Several solo instruments are given the opportunity to express themselves, including violin, viola and cello.
 
At bar 25 the music picks up in tempo, reflecting the joys and triumphs that we experience along the way. This represents the ultimate destination of our journey: home.
 
This short work is a journey through the emotions of life, from sadness to joy, from despair to hope. It is a reminder that, no matter what challenges we face, we can always find our way home.
